I was looking around for some other information and I came across the below information according to www.kraft.com regarding their peanut free products.

According to Kraft no peanut or tree nut ingredients are used in their facility. I remember mentioning in an earliar post regarding Oreo cookies that coconut may be in considered a nut in the United States.

After reading the following it now makes sense. Coconut is used in some products including Oreo Cookies and is not considered an allergen, why? See full list of ingredients

Coconut is not considered a tree nut as it is a seed of a fruit.

Kraft takes careful measures when preparing their products and are carefully marked on the packages and must also follow the Canadian Food Inspection Agency guidelines.
