So I learned something new today.
You see I started mixing the ingredients for the below simple vanilla cake:
Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 mL) sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2-1/2 cups (625 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) vegetable oil

There are a lot of steps for this recipe but they are quite easy to follow. The end result is great!
Best of all this cake has no trace of peanuts or nuts! Great for this Thanksgiving Holiday!

* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 6 tablespoons (85 grams) unsalted butter, room temperature
* 3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar
* 2 large eggs
* 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
